At Old Lady Baseball, we provide a welcoming environment for women aged 45 and older to play softball. Our league emphasizes fun and friendship, making it a perfect way to stay active and meet new friends.

Coach a Team

Volunteer to Coach a Team

Each Team will be led by TWO COACHES. The volunteers chosen to coach will be able to pick their Team Names & Team Colors, and Design their Team's Logo.

Team Draws Based on Ability

To make sure all teams are stacked as evenly as possible, players will receive ratings between 1-5. Prior to each new season the coaches will meet for a TEAM DRAW. Players will change teams each season. (Two friends can be on the same team if they carpool.)

Cost to Play

We are hoping to keep the sign-up costs as low as possible (and hopefully free!). Player costs will be determined by how much it costs us to rent the fields and hire umpires. We are hoping to get businesses to sponsor Team T-shirts, find Umpires willing to be paid in homemade baked goods and try to get some local bigwigs to do a good deed and donate the money to cover the costs of the fields.

To keep the fees for our Ladies low (or hopefully FREE), we are searching for do-goode umpires willing to be paid in Jams & Jellies. Instead of helping the old lady walk cross the street, you will be occasionally watching the pitcher walk her to first base. (Don't worry - we will give you the rule book ahead of time!)

My inspiration for organizing Old Lady Baseball League in Salt Lake City, Utah

For over 12 years I have been playing on the Extra Innings Senior Women's Slowpitch Softball League, in Menifee, CA. They are my inspiration for Old Lady Baseball. Our league been running for over 20 years, and has brought hundreds of women together for fun and friendship. Living and working part-time in SLC (to be close to two my kids and grandbabies living here) I felt the need to contribute a little something to this wonderful community that I love. Let's play ball!
